Cheese-Stuffed Cigar Pastry Leaves
Cheese-Stuffed Cigar Pastry Leaves
📋Ingredientsfor 15 servings
- 15 pcs cigar pastry sheets (thawed)
- 1 tablespoon oil (for greasing the cigar sheets)
- 150 g onion (one medium onion)
- 2 cloves garlic (sliced)
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 75 g 5% Bulgarian cheese (or Tov Taam cheese (or farmer's cheese))
- 0.5 tub cottage cheese
- 1 pcs egg
- 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
🥄Preparation Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to a high heat of 200°C.
- 2
Roughly chop the onion and sauté over medium heat until golden. Add the garlic. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
- 3
In a bowl, mix the remaining filling ingredients, combining the cooled onion and garlic with the cheese mixture.
- 4
Grease a baking sheet lined with parchment paper using a silicone brush.
- 5
Spread out a cigar pastry sheet and place a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Fold it in your preferred style. It is important that the edges are tucked underneath to prevent the cigar from opening in the oven.
- 6
Arrange the cigars tightly on the baking sheet and brush their tops with the remaining oil.
- 7
Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden. It is recommended to check occasionally to avoid over-browning.
- 8
Eat hot, served with a salad.
